Maison Vets Ltd is committed to protecting the privacy of all those who
contact us (whether online or by telephone) to make an enquiry or register
with us or request an appointment. Please consider our privacy policy
which explains how we use and protect your information.
What information do we collect about
you?
We collect your personal information (your name, pronouns, address,
contact details, pets name) when you contact us, book an appointment or
register your pet with us. We also collect information about any
accessibility requirements you may have and we respect that this may
contain details of a sensitive nature, such as a disability. Your information
is stored on our website and on our Practice Management System, and a
copy of your details is sent to our e-mail system.
We do not currently take payments online. When you pay for our services,
your credit or debit card details are processed and stored securely by Blink
Payment, our payment gateway. We use their services to produce invoices
and receipts and all other billing correspondence.
We may use technology to track browsing patterns of visitors to our site
but this will not capture any personally identifiable data.
When you are visited at home by our team, we will enter clinical details on
our Practice Management System via laptop, and we may audio record
consultations to produce a transcript via an app for record-keeping
purposes. Our business vehicles are fitted with dashcams, and we may
review this footage for the purpose of team safety and the detection of
crime.
How do we use your information?
We use your information to carry out our business as a home visit
veterinary service. We use your information to keep your pet’s clinical
records up to date, to issue reminders for treatments or medications your
pet requires (such as boosters), to prescribe medications and process
payments for our services and to update you via our newsletter if you have
opted in. We use your information to enable us to cancel an appointment
or allow you to return an item in accordance with our returns/cancellation
policy.
We use information provided to us via e-mail to record your personal
details against your pets clinical history, including accessibility
requirements and any personal requests.
You have consented to us using your personal data for the purpose of
providing veterinary services to your pet and providing good customer
service to you as our client. We do not share your personal information with
any external organisations, other than a host clinic or partner practice (but
always with your express consent) and as may be required by law.
How long do we keep your information for?
We retain your personal details against your pets clinical history and your
preferences and requirements for as long as you remain registered with us,
until you confirm to us that you no longer wish to be registered with us. We
would then retain basic personal details for a maximum of 7 years to
comply with accountancy and ICO rules.
We retain our dashcam footage for so long as is reasonably necessary to
ensure the safety of our team.
What are your rights?
You have a right to access, correct, delete, restrict the use of and transfer
your personal data. You have the right to object to your personal data
being processed where Maison Vets Ltd consider this to be in our
legitimate interests. You also have the right to withdraw consent to your
personal data being used at any time by contacting Maison Vets Ltd
via info@maisonvets.com
You have the right to make a complaint to the Information Commissioner’s
Office (Tel: 0303 123 1113 or at www.ico.org.uk)) if you believe that we have
not handled your personal information correctly.
Changes to our privacy statement
We will review our privacy statement regularly and will update it from time
to time. Any material changes will be highlighted on our website and via
our social media channels.
